In April 1999, Slim’s Dive Bar opened its doors and quickly became a cornerstone of the downtown Raleigh community. For over two decades, we've been the city's go-to dive; a place built on authenticity, character, and a serious commitment to good times.
Our walls are a living history, covered in stickers and memories. Our shelves are packed with random treasures from years gone by. From the narrow bar where stories are swapped to the upstairs lounge with its pool table and pinball machines, every inch of this place has a story to tell.
In April 2024, new owners took the helm, dedicated to preserving the bar’s nostalgic history and gritty soul. As downtown Raleigh continues to evolve, Slim’s stands as a true, unchanging piece of the city’s heart. We’re a Raleigh original – authentic, unforgettable, and proud of it!
